One of the finest voices in British jazz, Ian Shaw has collaborated with an eclectic array of stars including Quincy Jones, Van Morrison, Abdullah Ibrahim and Joe Lovano.

With a warm and instantly recognisable style all his own, he has won numerous awards and released a string of critically acclaimed albums since he first emerged in the early 90s. A regular presenter on Jazz FM, Shaw has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages – from New York’s Jazz At The Lincoln Center to London’s Ronnie Scott’s.

Having recently released his 16th studio album, What’s New – a superb collaboration with virtuoso saxophonist, Iain Ballamy, and the brilliant pianist, Jamie Safir – Ian Shaw is at the very peak of his considerable powers…and still positively fizzing with effervescent enthusiasm. A rare chance to see one of the true legends of British jazz in the intimate surroundings of the Hampstead Jazz Club.
